True Range

The True Range is calculated as the highest value of three values below:

  • Price difference between HIGH and LOW of a current bar
  • Price difference between CLOSE of a previous bar and HIGH of a current bar
  • Price difference between CLOSE of a previous bar and LOW of a current bar

The values of true range are used for calculating Average True Range (ATR).
